Brown paper board binding. Black cloth spine. Title printed at the front board. Name inscription at the verso of the lithographed title. Binding loose. Inner joints cracked. Some wear to the boards. Fly leaves missing. Two leaves with more offsetting from the plates. A couple of leaves and guard papers with a few stains. Interior nice and clean. Plates are fine.
This charming album depicts estates of the district of Uppland just north of Stockholm. The district has always been one of the richest in Sweden, and subsequently has many fine estates. The lithographs were executed by Alexander Nay, some after his own drawings. Two versions of the work was published. The main work containing 60 plates and the present abridged version containing 15 plates. Most abridged copies have an unique mix of plates. This copy contains the following plates: Ekolsund, Lennartsnäs, Stäket eller Almare Stäket, Näsby, Ådö, Åkeshof, Torsåker, Djursholm, Östanå, Hesselby, Margretelund, Runsa, Krusenberg, Skebo, Penningeby.
