Very nice condition.

A portrait of the painter and engraver Francois de Troy, who was very popular among the french upper classes for his ability to paint them in a favorable way. He became the principal painter to the court of James II of England in his exile in France. He made an important painting of the swedish ambassador Nils Bielke, The original was painted by de Troy himself and the engraving was executed by J. B. Poilly.
