Stockholm. Tryckt hos Johan Imnelius, 1819. 23 x 17,5 cm. Title + IV pp. + 12 pp. + 1 lithographed hand coloured map (folding).

Modern marbled paper boards. Title label in gilt in the top left corner. Some wear to the binding. The title has some spots and water stains. Some light water stains to the text. A few pages with new corners.

A fantastic work. Dittmar claims to know how to forecast the weather situation for all coming winters in Europe and Asia betwen the 30th and 79th parallel. A subject more current than ever in our own time. The beautiful map in this work might be the earliest lithographed map published in Sweden. It was printed by Carl Müller the first lithographic printer in the country. He arrived from Germany in 1818 - by invitation of king Carl XIV - to introduce lithography in Sweden. This is a swedish translation of the german original "Voraussicht der Beschaffenheit eines jeden künfigten Winters für Europa und Asien".
