Here we have a serie of carricatures from every day life in Sweden in the 1880s. Not always easy to understand the humour of that time. They were created by Conny, which is a pseudonym for Johan Fredrik Constantin Burman. He regulary published carricature albums from 1866 to 1894 under the names "Karrikatyrer" and "Krumelurer". Burman was well equiped to comment on the social life of his time since he had a very well developed social network. He was even art teacher to August Strindberg for a while.
