Original yellow blind pressed cloth binding with the title and a view of the castle of "Ulriksdal" in gilt at the front board. Title and ornamentations in gilt at the spine. A couple of plates and text leaves with a few stains mainly to the margins. One very short tear to a plate. The binding is in excellent condition, which is uncommon for this popular and therefore usually notoriously heavily worn book.
A beautiful binding containing wood cuts of paintings by famous swedish artists during the reign of Charles XV.
