A hand colored plate from the classic swedish costume book "Ett år i Sverige" (One Year in Sweden). The book is regarded as one of the high points of swedish book production throughout the centuries. It is known for its high quality engravings and wonderful illuminated hand coloring. The present plate is engraved by the publisher Christian Forsell.
