Large margins. A discreet crease across the image. A couple of minor stains to the margins. Very nice condition.

The plate depicts a dance hall in Hamburg, published for "Reseminnen från Tyskland, Frankrike och Italien", a very lively and charming collection of images depicting Europe in the early 19th century. Hjalmar Mörner published several fine plate books in Sweden, Italy and England. He spent twelve years in Italy, where he among other things created his most famous work "Carnevale di Roma". The plate was printed by the leading llithographic shop in the country, Gjöthström & Magnusson.
