Snack del. et sc. Engraved by Snack ca.1782. This is a later impression from the early 1800s. Plate mark 13 x 16,5 cm. Passe partout 24,5 x 27 cm.

Fine condition.

A view of the Stockholm Town Hall. This plate was planned to be a part of the never published work "Holmia illustrata". The original was painted by Snack. He also executed the engraving. According to Upmark / Sjögren, the plate was engraved at the expense of the Mayor of Halmstad Erik C. Säfström. Snack was a talented engraver who learned his skills as a pupil to Per Floding and at the Art Academy. He died young, only 31 one years old in 1787. Printed on wove paper.
