Contemporary brown half calf. Black board papers. Old name inscription at the front fly leaf. The front outer hinge detached. Worn spine and board edges. Some wear to the board papers. Slight browning to some text pages. Interior in very nice condition.
This is the last of six parts of the swedish edition of the great german work "Meyers Universum". The swedish heavily abridged edition was published1838-1851. In the present part all engravings are by the great A. H. Payne (except three that are unsigned). The engravings in this final part are of much better qulity than the earlier ones, which contains engravings from the "Bibliographischer Institut" in Hildburghausen. The present final part is scarce.
