Marbled board papers. Brown cloth spine with title and decorations in gilt. Book plate on the inside of the front board of Johan Wretman. Blue end papers. Worn binding. The text somewhat browned. Some corner folds. Small paper loss and a short tear to the last page, no text loss.
A work on Mexico and its people, a swedish translation of a german original. The plates depict wild and romantic scenes. Interestingly, most plates have captions in swedish, english and spanish. Five plates with captions in swedish only. Uncommon.
