Stockholm. Tryckt hos L. J. Hjerta. 1843. Oblong 4:o. 19 x 17,5 cm. 32 pp. + 13 steel engravings + 4 wrappers (in facsimile). All published.

Brown blind stamped cloth binding with "Album" stamped in gilt at the front board. Lignt wear to the binding. Occasional spots and minor craeases to the interior. Nice condition.

"Pittoreskt album" was planned to be published in 12 parts, only the present 4 parts were issued. The high quality plates have been supplied from the german work "Payne`s Universum". "Pittoreskt album" was published in competition with "Pittoreskt Universum", the swedish edition of the german work "Meyers Universum". The Payne plates in "Pittoreskt album" are of superior quality. Rare.
