Original blue/grey printed wrapper with "Småland" and part number in original hand writing. Decorative border. Spine split. Front wrapper and the text leaf detached. The wrapper and text leaf with a few spots. A few spots to the margins of the plates. Some browning to the outer edges of the margins. A few minor tears to the outer margins.
Attractive, soft and naivistic views of country estates in the district of Småland in the southern part of Sweden. The plates shows the estates in their natural settings among lakes, forests and picturesque vistas. Descriptive text to each plate. This is four of a total of thirtysix plates published of the district of Småland which is a free standing part of the great topographical work "Fordna och närvarande Sverige" (Present and Ancient Sweden) covering most districts of Sweden. The text is in French and Swedish. The Småland part is scarce. The plates are: Bergqvara, Edh, Huseby and Lessebo.
