A couple of minor stains to the margins. Oterwise in fine condition.
The plate depictis a sale stand for clothes in Stockholm in 1830. It was published in the caricature album "Stockholmska Scener" a collection of images showing lively and humorous street scenes and interiors. Mörner´s prints have great historical value. "As lithographs they are much above the average of the time" (Svenskt Konstnärslexikon). Mörner was a count and an officer. He spent twelve years in Italy as a painter and sketch artist, where he created his most well known work "Carnevale di Roma". He published Stockholmska Scener when he came back to Sweden. The plates were printed at the leading lithographic printer in the country at the time, Gjöthström & Magnusson.
