Printed on heavy paper. Some small tears and creases to the margins.
The artist Blackstadius made at some point a copy of Rembrandt´s famous painting. His copy was then lithographed by Arnz in Düsseldorf. The result is quite horrible. The world would be a better place wihout this lithograph. Still, why not pay a small sum of money an get something througly ghastly, to stay amazed about for a long time.The plate was published in the very rare work "Suecia Illustrata" by the short lived publishing house "Expeditionen af Konversations-Lexikon" in Stockholm, run by Phillip Meyer, a protegé of Adolf Bonnier "Suecia Illustrata" was probabaly issued in 1857. A large number of plates were planned, but only six became published.
