A few brown stains. Paper loss to the upper right margin. A couple of minor tears to the margin.
An early lithographic view of Strömsholm´s Castle. It is unclear to which work it was intended. Heideken executed two oil paintings of Strömsholms Slott in 1814. The present lithograph is probably based on one of these paintings. He was a one of Carl Johan Fahlcrantz most devoted followers, trying hard to emulate his style. Heideken became a painter to the Royal Court. Schéele studied for the inventor of lithography - Senefelder - in Munich. He returned to Stockholm in 1828 and opened a lithographic printing shop. Rare print.
