The lithograph slightly browned. A small water stain in the upper margin. Tape along the margins at the verso.
A decorative plate from the work "Anteckningar rörande svenska regementers historia", (Notes on the history of swedish regiments), published in 1864. The regiment´s commanders since 1661 are listed at the left side and a long list of battles - starting in Riga in 1621- fought by the regiment are listed on the right side. A second edition in smaller format was published in 1866. Julius Mankell was a writer as well as a member of parliament. He published a number of works on defense issues. As an MP he fought for liberal reforms such as the right to vote and the introduction of a republic.
