A map depicting the province of Elfsborg in western Sweden, published for the Hermelin atlas "Geografiske Kartor öfver Swerige". It is drawn by Carl Gustaf Forssell and engraved by Samuel Andersson. Hermelin executed the first comprehensive mapping of Sweden and Finland 1795-1818. (An earlier attempt by "Kongl. Landtmäteri Contoiret" did not manage to cover the entire country). The finnish section of the atlas was produced in the 1790s just before Sweden lost Finland to Russia in 1814.
