Grey passe partout. Some stains and creases mainly to the margins. A few short tears to the margins. A couple of small holes and creases along the fold.
A broad sheet reflecting on the political situation in Europe in satirical form. The image depicts a hall were representatives from different european countries are gathered around a large table covered by a central european map. Cardinal Fleury points out who gets what holding a long stick. You can see the plundered Maria Theresia with husband and child. The swede is badly battered by the russian etc. It is not entierly clear what occasion is discussed by the participants. Maybe the Union of Frankfurt of May 22 1744 or pherhaps the Austrian succession. It was first published in London. Rare.
