Some residue paper from former mounting in the corners at the verso. A small tear and a couple of stains to the margins.

A portrait of the father of liberalism the great philosopher and political thinker John Locke. Engraved by the dutch engraver Pieter Tanje after an original by Godfrey Kneller, a german portrait painter at the royal court in London.
