A plate depicting Elfakarleby on the Dalaälven river, published in the classic swedish topographical work "Sverige framställdt i Taflor", covering Sweden from north to south. The plate was lithographed by Lars Julius August Hellesen after an original by Carl Svante Hallbeck. The publisher Felix Bonnier commissioned Hallbeck to draw 40 originals from the northern provinces of Sweden. The drawings were very delayed to Mr. Bonniers great frustration, and he was never able to get the last four. He complained bitterly about Hallbeck in the last cahier of the work. Hallbeck responded angrily in the newspapers. Hellesen worked as lithographer for the Baerentzen company in Copenhagen and lithographed several of Hallbecks drawings.
