The plate depict a mountain cottage and goat sheperd´s in Dalecarlia. It was lithographed after an original by Bengt Nordenberg and published for the work "Bilder ur svenska folklifvet". The plate is accompanied by a descriptive text leaf in swedish, german and english. The captions at the plate are also in three languages. This is a fine example of an early colour printed lithograph of high quality. Arnz & Co. was one of the leading firms in this area. Nordenberg was a genre painter of the Düsseldorf School of painting, depicting folkloristic motifs predominantly in Dalecarlia, Blekinge and Skåne.
