A little dirt and a couple of chips the the margins and a slight tone from the passe partout to the margins not visible under the (passe partout). Nice condition.

The plate was published for the great costume work "Neu-eröffnete Welt--Galleria" 1703 (first edition) or 1708 (second edition). by P. Abrahamo á Santa Clara (borned under the name Ulrich Megerle). It was published in 100 plates, engraved by Christoph Weigel after originals by Caspar Luyken. The work depicts people and costumes from all over the world in finely composed local settings.
