An outstanding lithograph showing the tomb of Gustavus I inside the Uppsala Cathedral. A woman with a child and a man are contemplating the grave. This is one of Billmarks best work, in splendid french colour lithograpy. The plate was printed by Lemercier in Paris, the leading firm in Europe at the time. Billmark was educated at Forsell´s engraving school in Stockholm, but soon turned to lithography, and after settling in Paris developed a brilliant talent. His work has allways been sought after.
