Each plate is accompanied with a two page short story. Carl Andreas Dahlström is percieved to be one of the best lithographers of his time, educated by the great Axel Jacob Salmson. He was very productive and published numerous satirical albums on swedish every day life as well as plate books on costume and historical scenes. His first album was published in 1843 (Svenska Caracterer) with four classic lithographs depicting Stockholm street scenes.
