A little creasing and a couple of spots in the margins. A large stain in the right margin. A short tear in the lower margin.
Sleeping guards in the winter night missing the robbery of a fat man by a gang of hooligans. Mörner, a swedish artist and noble man lived in Italy in the 1820s, where he among other things published his most famous work "Il Carnevale di Roma". In the early 1830s he stayed in London where he published two caricature albums "Humorous Sketches" and "Miscellaneous Sketches of Contrasts". The present plate is from the first of these two works. Printed on Whatman paper. An uncommon plate.
