[Aviation] American Airlines.
Flagship Information.
1947. 24 x 12 cm. An information portfolio containing three items: a timetable, an air freight information folder and a postage paid memo for passengers to fil out suggestions to the airline.
Slight wear to the portfolio and the time table. Very nice condition.
The portfolio lists basic things to know and how to behave on a plane. This is early days of passenger traffic. Smoking is allowed "since experience has proven that cigarettes very rarely annoy any one". The time table is impressive with traffic all around the world including a 14 hour sleep over from New York to London and a weekly service from San Francisco to Shanghai. Gives an interesting perspective from where we now are 70 years later. .
