A beautiful and atmospheric plate of the northern lights. The plate was designed and engraved by the officer Adolf Fredrik Skjöldebrand. Published in the work "Voyage pittoresque au Cap Nord", one of the earliest swedish plate books in aquatin. It depicts a voyage across Scandinavia to the North Cape. The present plate is one of the more spectacular.
