The map was published for Nils Gustaf Werming´s rare atlas of swedish towns "Kartor öfver svenska städer" issued 1806 to 1818. The atlas contained a couple of maps of foreign lands such as Denmak and Russia. The map covers the area from the Baltic Sea to the hinterlands of Moscow including the Gulf of Finland, Helsinki, Reval, Riga, Königsberg, St. Petersburg and Moscow.
