A waterstain in the lower margin and a couple of tears and creases to the margins. Image area in fine condition.

An outstanding lithograph showing beggars outside the side entrance of the Uppsala Cathedral as well as two women being greeted by a soldier. Carl Johan Billmark was educated at Forsell´s engraving school in Stockholm, but soon turned to lithography, and after settling in Paris developed a brilliant talent. This is one of Billmark´s best work, in splendid french colour lithograpy by Lemercier in Paris.
