A common german school atlas in an over the top binding executed for Lord Wardington´s library. Beautiful red moroccco-backed cloth with the Wardington crests at corners. A heavy and solid binding by an excellent book binder. The Wardington bookplate at the back paste down. This copy was sold at Sotheby´s Wardington sale on October 10, 2006. The sale slip with auction number 448, still in the atlas.A perfect oppurtunity to accquire an atlas from Lord Wardington´s legendary library without spending a fortune.
