Large margins. Some fraying and foxing to the margins. Nice condtion.
British Museum describes the portrait as follows "Portrait of a young man dressed as David, identified as Pordenone by the title; half-length, looking to the left, wearing laurel wreath and armour, his right hand on the handle of a sword, his left hand grasping Goliath's hair; in the top left corner, a small label; with engraved text below". Engraved by N. F. Mauiez after an original by Le Georgion. It was issued for the work Galerie du Palais Royal published 1786- 1808.
