The upper margin and the lower left corner reinforced with paper strips A repaired tear ca one cm into the image area. Some creases.

The text below the caption reads "From an original Picture in the Collection of Hugh Hoare Esq.r to whom this plate is most respectfully dedicated by his obliged hble. Serv.t Tho. Macklin". Engraved by Francesco Bartolozzi (1727- 1815) after an original by Thomas Gainsborough (1727- 1788).
