The photo is laid down on a printed backing board with title and a decorative border. Very nice condition.

A fine view of restaurant Hasselbacken in Stockholm, in its day famous for its lavish parties and a very popular spot for the higher echelons of society. A devastating fire destroyed the restaurant in 1872. The depicted building was built shortly thereafter, but the restaurant succumbed to another fire in 1923. Axel Lindah was one of the foremost landscape photograpers of his generation. Originally based in western Sweden, he expanded to Stockholm and other areas. He also became a prolific photographer of norwegian landscapes and his work has become of national interest in that country.
