A smart little atlas for the gentlemann´s pocket or the ladie´s purse with a decorative front cover depicting a globe, anchors, axes, a telescope and other items suited for the explorer. Large snakes curling up two tree trunks. The back cover depict an exotic scene including a water pipe and a ship in a gale. The maps are neat and well composed with a light tuch to them. Interestingly it contains maps of Haiti, Guadelope and Martinique as well as other french island possesions. The atlas has two sections, contemporary and ancient maps.
