Blind pressed brown cloth with title in gilt at the front cover. Well executed rebacking, new end papers. Very nice condition.

A beautiful and well composed historic atlas of high German quality. It was an international success, selling around 250.000 copies during its life span from 1859 to 1939. Since the maps were in latin it was easy to convert the atlas to foreign markets, in other words there are versions in several different languages.
