A few minor spots to the margins of a couple of plates. Two plates with a couple of very short tears in the margin. One plate with a corner fold. A couple of plates slightly brown-toned.

Superbly hand coloured engravings depicting Swedish folk costumes, published for the work Ett år i Sverige, one of the most attractive colour plate books in Sweden. The originals were painted by Johan Gustaf Sandberg (1752-1854) professor at the Royal Art Academy. The plates are: Rättvik I, Leksand II, Leksand III, Leksand IV, Jerfsö I, Jerfsö II, Wingåker I, Wingåker III, Wingåker IV and Gripsholm II.
