Maroon cloth with blind stamped gilt title at the front board and the spine. Rebacked. Old spine laid down. A few stains to the boards. Worn board edges. Back joint worn. Inner front joint with cracked endpaper. About sixty pages with light foxing.
A weekly with stories from around the world, illustrated with one lithograph each month. Printed on quality paper. The text is placed inside decorative frames, which gives the publication harmony and style. "Portföljen" was published in Lund in 1854. It was not published in 1855. Between 1849 and 1852 it was published under a slightly different name - Portföljen, Nytt illustreradt Skillings-Magasin. Scarce.
