Extraordinary broad margins. Margins partly browned. Some creases and a couple of minor tears to the margins. Minor paper loss in lower right corner.

A hand colored plate from the classic swedish costume book "Ett år i Sverige" (One Year in Sweden). The book is regarded as one of the high points of swedish book production throughout the centuries. It is known for its high quality engravings and wonderful illuminated coloring. The present plate is engraved by the publisher Christian Forsell. This plate has never been bound and has preserved extraordinary broad margins, which is quite rare.
