A little smudging to the right margin. Otherwise in nice condition.

Anders Celsius was an astronomer, but is best known for the the Celsius Scale. The original was executed by Johan Gustaf Sandberg (1752-1854), painter and professor at the Royal Academy of Arts. Johan Cardon lithographed the portrait. Along with Carl Johan Billmark, he was Sweden´s most eminent lithographer. In 1843 he received the title "Royal lihographer. The present portrait is from the finest of all 19th. century portrait galleries published in Sweden.
