A water stain in the upper left corner, outside the image area. Nice condition.

A fine portrait depicting the Countess Catharina Charlotta de la Gardie. She is known in Sweden to have stopped the practice of witch trials and also for introducing inoculations. The portrait was published and engraved by Johan Fredrik Martin for the scarce work "Svenska Galeriet" 1782-1783. A rare example of a swedish colour printed engraving from the 18th. century.
