à Paris, chez Basan Graveur, rue St Jaques. Mid 18th. century. Plate mark 28 x 33 cm. Cut just outside the plate mark. Engraving.

Small losses to two corners, outside the image area. A couple of minor creases to the margins.

The image depicts a woman picking fleas from a man's head and another man swinging a jug, inside a cottage that looks very poor. Engraving probably by Jacques Aliamet (1726-1788) after an original by Adriaen van Ostade (1610-1685).
