A few short tears and a little soiling and creasing to the margins.

First published in Le Charivari in 1840 as a news paper illustration. This plate was published for the "Album Moeurs Conjugales" in 1843 on heavy plate paper and hand coloured. Daumiers caricatures were often first published in Le Cahrivari and then issued in separate albums. Very nice colouring heigtened with gum arabicum.
