An interior of Fole church in Gotland. The plate was published in the very rare work "Suecia Illustrata" by the short lived publishing house "Expeditionen af Konversations-Lexikon" in Stockholm, run by Adolf Bonnier´s protegé Phillip Meyer. "Suecia Illustrata" was probabaly issued in 1857. A large number of plates were planned, but only six became published. The original was painted by the influential artist and architecht Fredrik Wilhelm Scholander.
