Contemporary half calf with marbled board papers. Titles in gilt at the spines. Owners blue stamp and blind stamp at the front fly leaves. Blind stamp in the margin of page one in both volumes. Name inscription at the front paste downs. Worn edges and board papers. Vol I: Some scattered stains in the margins. Four plates with short tears to the margins. Two plates with a couple of large stains. A couple of plates with minor spots. Vol II: Front fly leaf and lithographed title loose. About eight plates with some staining, a couple of hem with large stains. In spite of this a quite nice set of a scarce book.
This work contains a total of 96 lithographs showing views and some monuments in Sweden. The plates are executed in the typical grainy style of the 1830s, and of quite high quality.
