Two photos with contemporary ink inscriptions at the back "Kongl. Hofbronestöber Lauritz Rasmussen Köbenhavn Stöberiet 1899" and "Kongl. Hofbronestöber Lauritz Rasmussen Kbhvn. Ciselörverksted 1899". The third photo with printed text "Fred. Riise fot." and "Köbenhavn K. Vimmelskaftet 42". Scuffed along the efdges.
The photos depict the foundry and the workshop as well as a finnished product in the shape of a horse surrounded by the proud workers. Lauritz Godtfred Rasmussen (1824 -1893) was a Danish zinc and bronze caster. He started his foundry in 1865 and became caster to the King in 1883. His son Carl continued to operate the company and it was held as a family business until it closed in 1967. Many monuments in Denmark was cast at the Rasmussens foundry in the 19th century.
